This is a family run business based in Wexford Town. They operate a successful sales and service business focusing on garden machinery for many years. Due to a high level of demand for the service from their customers, they now have a vacancy for a garden machinery mechanic to support the main experienced mechanic in the business.

There will also be assembly of new equipment involved and preparation of trade in machinery for resale. As a family owned and well managed business, this role will work as part of our small team led by the owner. This makes the role interesting and varied.

We are seeking someone with a good knowledge and experience with garden machinery maintenance. Hands on experience in two stroke engines (eg. Chain saws, Lawnmowers) is also important. Good English is important and the ability to communicate well with customers in dealing with their queries.

Grower/Manager Opportunity in Co. Wexford

Our client have over 45 years’ experience in growing and supplying lettuce, much of it to the main Irish retailers. They strongly believe in sustainable farming, and they are now seeking an experienced and ambitious Grower/Manager to lead their team while building and developing the business.

Their growing business is based in the South-East, Wexford & Carlow. This role will involve leading a team of 35+ and will be responsible for the day to day running of the Salad Farm.

The main areas of focus are:

· Growing of the crops - planning, plant raising, planting, crop production and harvesting and all management associated resourcing, and implementing

· Management and development of the team.

· Compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

· All aspects of farm machinery, improvement, and management of maintenance.

· Management of KPIs, costs and budgets to achieve targets.

· As part of the management team, contributing to the continuous improvement of the business.

The ideal candidate for this role will have ability and/or experience to function as a Grower / Manager.

Ideally you will have:

· 3+ years’ experience of vegetable growing and production.

· Good people management/team leadership skills combined with a hands-on approach.

· Ability to learn, and train the people working with you, to improve the business.
